A visit with Santa

As you may notice, Kieran is nowhere to be found.  He was petrified of Santa but found the Christmas tree and ornaments oh so enchanting.  He's about 3 feet to the left dismantling the tree!   Seamus and Maya proceeded to tell Santa EVERYTHING on their lists!   Glad there was no line, because we were seriously there for 25 minutes!

Disney 2014

We are back from Disney and had an amazing time.  We didn't fill up our week too much but we still saw a lot of things and did a lot.  We stayed at a beautiful villa in Kissimmee, which was only about 10 minutes from the parks and about 15 from Sea World.  It had its own private pool which was great for the kids when we didn't have the parks to do.  The ride there wasn't that bad.  The kids slept most of the time and we got there in about 14 hours.  The ride home took a little longer in the daylight hours just due to stops but still wasn't too bad.  We had some great dinners, did some awesome character meet and greets, and did a lot of fun rides.   Mommy even got to go on the Manta Ray roller coaster at Sea World.  It was awesome!  Can't wait to do Disney again!

My big boy!

Big boy Thomas undies for Seamus!  He's doing pretty well but would rather pee outside in the grass than on the toilet.

Day out with Thomas AND Percy!!!!

Every year we try to go to Strasburg Railroad to see Thomas the Tank Engine.  We usually go in November when its freezing cold, a newborn soils his clothes and we have no extra set, we are flying by the seat of our pants, the car won't start….you get the idea.  So this year, we decided to go in September and let me just say, it was awesome.  Not only was it gorgeous weather, but we made it onetime and were not rushed, we already had our tickets, it was a thursday so there were not a lot of people there, and PERCY was there too.  I didn't even know they had a Percy car and it was just so excited.  The kids were excited but I totally think I was more excited.  We had a blast!  We were able to get pictures with all the "characters", get train conductor hats, and enjoy the scenery that usually isn't there in freezing December weather.  As Maya would day "hashtag, best day ever!!!!"

My favorite 9 month old...

Loves pulling all the books off the shelves
Loves being naked!  Who doesn't?
Got his first haircut!
Discovered the tupperware drawer
Figured out how to get on the pony and make it sing

Kieran is so curious right now.  Its so amazing to see him explore the world on his own and see the things that intrigue his mind and peak his interests.  He loves bouncy balls and chasing them, loves eating (anything and everything), and absolutely loves anything that Maya is doing.  He thinks she is the greatest and funniest person in the world.   Not too into Seamus though.  Maybe its because Seamus is still a little jealous and likes to rough him up a little.  I have a feeling though that it won't be long before Kieran can hold his own against his brother.   Kieran is so happy-go-lucky.  We have had one memorable "bad" week and thats only because he cut 4 top teeth, got 4 shots, and had blood work done all in the same week.  Oh yeah, and split his bottom lip wide open.  We all survived, barely at times, and he's back to his happy self.   Love this little boy!

The Beach….Or Bust….Bust

It was last Saturday and the excitement was unbelievable.  The kids were amped and ready to go.  The car was packed and we were getting ready to head to North Wildwood for our 2014 beach trip with the cousins and aunts and uncles and Pop-Pop.  Thats when I heard it.  The croupy cough that that makes a mother shudder.  Seamus.  Ugh.  And so it began.  We started with a hot shower and lots of coughing and deep breathing and blowing of the snot-filled nose.  Things started looking up.  So, we decided to chance it and left.  The car ride bagan and the coughing started, tissues were flying, and the cheeks became flushed.  Seamus. Now Maya…..then Kieran.   Ugh.

So we get to the shore house and then I heard it again.  The cough.  It was Catie.  She said "aunt becca, I'm sick."  She didn't look or really sound sick so I didn't really think too much of it.  Until the next morning when Jen said to me.  "Catie is sick too."  It seemed as if all the cousins had somewhat of the same thing.  However, the other ones seemed to be acting a little better than mine.  My little ones were miserable.  Not sleeping, crying, whining…just miserable.  Therefore, Mommy was miserable.  After a couple days of no sleep and whiny, crying babies, Kevin and I decided to pack it up and head for home.  We did manage to get a couple happy shots of the kids.  Snot and all.

Some days...

Most days in our house are pretty much on a schedule.  Its how I keep chaos to a minimum with our crazy work calendar and various activities.  Today though, I couldn't take being on a schedule, cleaning anything up, or doing anything that really required any effort what-so-ever…..so we played, and played, and played….from sun up to sun down.   No naps, no formal meals, nothing….just time together playing……it was awesome!

 A Seamie Sandwich
 4 in the tub
Everyone loves a tractor ride with Daddy
 Puppets
Washing hair in the sink?  Not sure why he wanted to do that but whatever
Bathing suits (hmm, little chilly) and the little pink car.
