video

ok, so the video won't upload.  i don't know why.  anyway, the video is of Maya going out on stage as the Rockstar and getting her jacket and dancing with the Fresh Beat Band.

My Rockstar!!!!

For Maya's birthday, all she wanted was to see the Fresh Beat Band.  I'm not sure she realized that it would be at a concert but she kept asking for them to come over for a playdate.  Kevin and I got her concert tickets to the show in Reading at the Sovereign Center.  He was going to take her and it would be "daddy/daughter date night."  She was stoked to say the least.  She was excited because of the Fresh Beat Band (still don't think she really understood) and she was excited because she had a night to spend all by herself with Daddy. ( and Nooooooo little brothers!)

So, it decided to snow last night and create havoc on the roads.  Kevin and I knew how excited she was so being that we have a Suburban, he decided that he probably wouldn't have too much trouble getting there.  Traffic was a nightmare because those people who don't have 4 wheel drive decided it would be a good idea to drive….don't even get me started.  Anyway, they arrived at the concert about 10 minutes before it was about to start.

Our neighbor and good friend, is a radio show host/photographer and get this…KNOWS THE TOUR MANAGER OF THE FRESH BEAT BAND!!!! and in fact, had just spent the last couple days photographing them for the tour!  He adores Maya and when he found out Kevin was taking her, he made some calls and totally hooked them up.  He didn't realize how much he did until later that night.  The seats were good, but Mr. Duncan did muuuuuuuucccccccchhhhhhh better!

Maya got to be the Rockstar!!!!

She was also given VIP access so she and Kevin were able to hang out with the band after the show!  What an amazing night for my little girl.  I'm not sure who was more excited, Maya or Kevin!

Baby #3! Yes, we are a family of 5!

Kieran Thomas Walsh made his debut 3 weeks ago today!  He was born on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 9:34 pm at 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long....after a long labor, lots of pitocin, a non-functioning epidural, and a lot of pushing.  Although he was my smallest, he was definitely my most difficult delivery.  It was worth it though.  Kevin and my mom were both there to cheer me on and my mom was able to cut the cord.  It was such an amazing experience.  The joy and miracle of a baby's birth never gets old.

Welcome, Kieran Thomas Walsh!!!!!

A little boy and his tractor

Seamus thinks loud noises, machines, worms, and TRACTORS are the greatest things in the world.  Well, the other day, I couldn't find him anywhere.  Not in the cabinets, behind the couch, in the bathroom playing in the toilet, upstairs, in the toybox, or playing in the washing machine.  Hmmm, all his usual places.  Just then, I noticed the garage door open.  I look out in the garage, and I finally found him....

Best Friends!

My good friend Jen has a little girl, Olivia, 3 weeks younger than Maya and a little boy, Colin, who is 4 weeks younger than Seamus.  Needless to say, this makes for some great days.  The kids love each other and we are always doing something together!  Jen called me on Friday and said "how about a sweet and sassy day for the girls?"  Just what the doctor ordered!

The girls had a great time!  I think Sweet n Sassy has to be one of the best places to relieve all the stressors of a 3 year old!

New bikes, New Baby, and Easter...yes, I know its been awhile.

You can thank my sister for bringing it to my attention that I haven't blogged in about 2 months.  Pathetic, I know.  Who doesn't have 5 minutes to sit down and post some pics of recent happenings?  Seriously, the past 2 months?  I haven't.  Life has been crazy.  From sickness plaguing our domain at different times, work kicking my butt, school kicking my butt, and morning sickness (yes, you heard me correctly) morning sickness wiping me out....I really haven't had five minutes.  Just ask the dust bunnies that have nested in my house.

This is Maya's new bike.  Quite possibly the coolest bike in the world.  It even has a cute little baby seat for Lilia (Maya's bunny)., horn, and streamers as well as a basket that comes in quite handy when getting the mail!

Our special t-shirts that helped let Grammy and PopPop know that we're expecting #3!  ETA Oct 24, 2013...same due date as Maya.

My little baker

Homemade pizza day!  So much fun and so delicious!

Daddy/Daughter Date Night at Chic-Fil-A.  They love this quality time together!

We were having a beach day....in February!

Dying Easter Eggs....Seaums just wanted to throw them so after breaking 4, he was banned from dying them.

Finding Easter baskets is so much fun!  Especially when Maya got mad at the Easter bunny the night before and left him a note to stay out of the kitchen!

 Happy Easter!

Maddie, Jake, Abby, Catie, Ben, and Maya getting ready to hunt for eggs.  Seamus thought a nap was much more important!!!

Baby # 3.  The tie breaker grandchild.  Who will take the lead?  The boys or the girls.  We'll be even as soon as Daniel and Garrett get here next month.  5 boys and 5 girls.   Boy or girl?  What do you think?
