Maya and Chocolate

Maya loves Chocolate...yes, the candy but that's not the Chocolate that I am talking about. We went to Elmwood Park Zoo with some friends and Maya fell head over heals in love with a pony named Chocolate. It cost $6.00 to ride him twice around the corral. $36.00 later my little lovie was glowing and walking on air. It warmed my heart to see her so excited. There were no other kids in line so she was tickled that she could just keep riding. She talked to him the whole time saying "neigh" (actually sounded like a neigh though). "Good boy Chocolate." She sang him songs and it was seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. I thought she might be scared at first when she asked to go for the ride but she hopped right on and grabbed the horn on the saddle. Waving and smiling and so happy....it just might have made my day more than hers.

exhausted...

Have you ever been so tired....
that you can't remember what happened 5 minutes ago
that you fell asleep at a traffic light
that your 2 year old tells you that you are making funny noises...I call this whimper mode
that you doze off while nursing your baby because its the only time all day you're able to sit down
that you pray the beeper doesn't go off at work because you don't have the strength to dial the phone
that it takes too much effort to figure out what to eat so you eat your kid's leftovers
that your eyes glaze over while attempting to blog

yeah, I'm there....

My babies

Happy Easter 2012

I am thrilled that my daughter is no longer petrified of the Easter Bunny!  I actually went out to buy the kids easter outfits and she saw the Easter Bunny at the mall and WANTED to go sit on his lap and pet him.  So, with the new outfits still having the tags on and in the bag, I quickly bribed her to put her dress on and sit with the Bunny.  She was tickled!!!! She introduced herself and Seamus to the Bunny and twirled to show him her new dress.  Then she hopped right up onto his lap and "cheesed" for the camera.  Seamus could have cared less about the whole event but didn't cry...that was all I could have asked for!
