Maya's First Haircut
Essentially this is how the experience started but in her little TU sweatshirt she is showing off her new cut locks!
We are in the new house!!!! FINALLY!!!!
December 10, 2010 is the day we finally settled on our house. The wait was long but we are fortunate to have such wonderful support from our family and friends that it was not all that bad. The day started out wonderful with Maya taking a great nap and Kevin and I working diligently to make sure that all of our "reminders" of staying with my parents were kept to a minimum. We cleaned up all Maya's toys and put the rooms back together trying to leave no trace that we were ever there. Hmmm, fat chance. Before the day was over my mom had 2 bags of "stuff" that we had either forgotten or had "escaped" after Maya woke up from her nap.
Settlement was delayed for about 2 hours but all in all went off without a hitch! It was finally time for us to settle in to our "home." Although we were overjoyed, it was met with some sweet sorrow as my brother and his family had been displaced from their home just 3 days earlier due to a fire at the Eck residence.
Of course I just thought I had some pictures and now I can't find them so I promise that I will take some tomorrow and post them tomorrow night while I am at work!

My little bear is 1 year old!
My little angel one year ago!
October 23, 2009- my little Maya entered this world. I can't believe that she is 1 year old. We celebrated at Shadyside Park on the exact day of her birth with family, friends, and lots of ladybugs. She played, ate cake, and played some more and had a wonderful time! Thank you all for sharing in her special day!

Bethany Beach 2010
It was a week of fun in the sun, rain, and thunder. Fish were caught, crabs were eaten and the sounds of happy children were in the air. Cousins, cousins, and more cousins were everywhere! The cousins from Ohio as well as the ones from Pennsylvania got along wonderfully and enjoyed every minute of it! It was also the week of my 30th birthday and what better way to spend it than with my family over bushels of hot, fat crabs drenched in butter! We all had a wonderful time but it feels good to be home!

Walsh Family Update
It's been a busy time to be a Walsh. Kevin is trucking away at school and is almost done his first summer session. 6 months to go and Kevin will be a graduate! So exciting! I'm working non-stop at MinuteClinic and Paoli but I am definitly taking my weeks off to stay home with my favorite little bear. Speaking of the little nutzy, she is getting so big. She is 8 months old today and cruising around all over the place. She has begun to pull her self up on the furniture and is attempting to crawl. She kinda shimmies from place to place. On June 16th, up popped two little teeth, right in the bottom center. She is fascinated by them and keeps running her tongue along them. They are growing fast too!
My little fishy!

What Maya has been up to?
Our little girl is growing up so fast and is getting to experience more of the world around her. Some fun things that she has done in the last month, besides being hauled around with Mommy through walk thrus, trips to Temple, house planning and the like...
-learned to sit up
-played with her first toad and tried to eat him
-swing on the swings
-drive a car ( a little pink one)
-eating more solid foods
-playing in a sand box
-being so lovingly mauled by her cousins and not crying...actually I think she loved the attention
-having her first photo debut
-bumping her head on a daily basis
-sitting up like a big girl
WOW, what a month! Hopefully I will figure out how to post some pics for your viewing pleasure!

What we've been up to
Let me just start by saying that it has been a whirlwind in the Walsh household. How many things can we do in a month...
-Kevin in school
-We found a piece of property we liked and decided to pursue it
-We put our house up for sale
-We had 9 walk thrus in 6 days. (yeah, try doing that around nap schedules!)
-It sold in 8 days
-We moved in with Grammy and Pop-pop McLaughlin
-We had 2 weeks to get out of the house and get inspections done
-Crammed everything into Kevin's old house on Almond Drive
-Maya learned to sit up
-Maya learned to sleep in her pack and play
-Kevin had finals
-Becca picked up extra shifts
Phew! I'm exhausted just thinking about it! It has been wonderful and we are truly blessed to be given this opportunity.

4 months old
Maya is changing and growing so fast! Since our last post, she has learned to roll over, started eating solid food, been through sleeping bootcamp and doing great, and has this amazingly funny belly laugh. We have had a couple play dates with her new little friends Cayden, Olivia, Jack, Isabella, Emily, and Max. We are looking forward to a play date with baby Dax as soon as he is old enough!
Kevin and I are having date night tonight which is exciting! It'll be the second time we've been out since the baby is born. No idea what we are doing but I'm sure we'll figure it out. Lets see, what else, Maya is being dedicated on Sunday at church and we are looking forward to her living a life that pleases the Lord.

My amazing husband
Kevin and I just had our first anniversay. We had some great big plans to get a sitter, go out and live it up a little. Mother nature had other plans. We got snowed in. Almost 2 feet!!!!! So we made the most of it....made dinner, took the truck for a spin in a snow filled field, he asked me to marry him again for another year, and snuggled by the fireplace. It was a wonderful evening.
