Happy New Year Maya!
Oh my little Maya. Just 10 short weeks ago you were in my belly. It amazes me that you fit so comfortably in there. How shocked you must have been to enter this chilly, itchy, scratchy world but when you're in my arms it all seems to fade away. I love our conversations and smiles in the wee hours of the morning. You're a great listener when my world is cloudy and you never judge me...unless your milk isn't warm enough! I love your sweet smile and when your tiny little hand fits in mine. You bring a sense of calmness and stillness to me and a level of patience that I never thought I could ever have. I guess when you pray to be more patient, God allows it to come in the form of a beautiful baby girl to put it all into perspective. I love you little girl. I feel truly blessed to be your mommy. I look forward to this new year and all the wonderful things that you are going to accomplish. I can't wait to see you grow and change and learn to talk and walk and play. I'm sorry we can't ring in this new year together but I will be thinking of you and loving you! Happy New Year my little one!

My days are a blur
So most days I find myself wondering where the day went. It's 5pm and I am still in my bathrobe, haven't showered, maybe ate something, maybe found time to go to the bathroom. Its crazy. Kevin and I just laugh when he comes home from school and I am still the disheveled wreck that I was when he left 8 hours before. Here are some things that happen in my typical day at home.
1. Maya wakes up...feed and change her. Sometimes I catch her at the wrong time and then its a load of laundry on top of that. (1.5 hours)
2. Play with her. Multiple activities because she gets bored easily. (.5 hours)
3. Get her to go to sleep because she's exhausted (.5-1.5 hours)
ok, i have to go....she just woke up again

Sleepless in Phoenixville
Yes, our little pumpkin pie is keeping me awake at night. I can't complain too much as she does sleep for about 4 hours at a time which from what I have heard is a blessing. Here is our little one in the hospital.
She lost a lot of weight in the hospital and the first few days. 8 lbs, 8oz at her first pediatrician appt, she ate her way to 9 lbs 12 oz in just 9 days! way to go!
That's how we know she's definitly ours. The little lady loves to eat! She eats about 6 oz at every feeding every 3-4 hours! That's my girl!
Here are some more pictures from Halloween and just because we think she's adorable so we take lots of pictures.

Maya Carol Walsh is finally here!
Our long awaited journey is now over yet just beginning. Kevin and I had a beautiful baby girl, Maya Carol, on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 7:57am. She was 9 pounds 2 ounces and 22 inches long. I know what you're thinking and yes, she was a challenge. I would do it all over again though, no epidural and all. Although the entire experience at the hospital tested our patience, strength, and faith, Kevin and I are so thankful that everything turned out well and that we were able to bring our little girl home with us. God is sooo good! I'll stop rambling now and post some pictures! Enjoy!

An Awesome Baby Shower!
Let the countdown begin! I am officially "term" and I am so ready for this little one to come into the world. I don't think she agrees though. Oh well, I'll just wait a little longer. So I had my baby shower this weekend and it was awesome! I was able to see people that I haven't seen in forever. All my girls were there....the DQ'ers as well as the "church girls," except Nancy, she was missed. Hopefully I'll have some pictures soon. If not, you can check out Brett and Jenn Fisher's blog...she was nice enough to put some lovely pics up there! The food was great, the company was better, and we loved our gifts. Kevin and I are so lucky to have such thoughtful and generous friends and family. Thank you all so much!!!!!! We love you!!!!!

My how things have changed!!!!!!
Kevin and I met exactly 1 year ago....August 8, 2008....crazy to think what we were like then and how much things have changed, how much we have changed, and how much we've grown together. I always knew that he was going to be someone special in my life....just how special was beyond what I could ever imagine.

Kevin and I finally got our little get-a-way! From June 11-14 we had our nice romantic trip to Clearwater, FL thanks to my most favorite pseudo mom C.P. After the chaos of trying to get our lost luggage, we had an amazing time! Beautiful sunsets, romantic walks on the beach at midnight, great dinners (we tried gator and loved it!) We went fishing off of Pier 60 and caught! We sat at some beachside open air bars and sipped cocktails, mine virgin of course, but my fabulous husband made the bartenders put them in pretty little glasses for me and jazz them up so I pretended they weren't! I think I even got punch drunk! It was fun though and good for my pregnant psyche.
C.Ps condo was beautiful and just steps to the beach. The weather was sunny but HOT HOT HOT! The water was kinda gross with seaweed but it was fun anyway. Kevin, who you may not know is petrified of sharks, even went in with me past his knees! Miracles can happen folks! He also surprised me with a pregnancy massage on Friday morning! It was awesome! We even met up with one of Kevin's ex-coworkers on Saturday night for dinner. The man has an alligator living in his back yard! No thank you! It was a fantastic trip but all in all it feels so good to be home!

It's a girl!!!!!
We're having a little girl Walshie! For those of you that have always known that I wanted 3 boys and that I already had their names picked out since I was 12, you know why God is giving us a girl! He just laughs at me when I have things planned out. Kevin and I are so excited. I can't wait to see our little one playing Disney princesses with her daddy.
Today we went to Babies R Us just to see what we liked and didn't like and we were so overwhelmed! There is so much to choose from! So after about 2 hours, we were beat. It's exhausting in there. After a trip to Taco Bell and an afternoon at the pool, we recovered slightly. Babies R Us will have to be completed on the second round.

Tomorrow is the big day!
Tomorrow is my 20 week appointment! I can't believe how fast everything has gone already. I know those of you that have listened to my constant gripes are probably saying "fast?, this is taking forever!" We have our ultrasound tomorrow to let us know whether we are having a little boy walshie or a little girl walshie. We're very excited! Check back for the update!

Kevin Tries Skiing!
There has been a lot of excitement and changes in Walsh household. Kevin learned to ski and did sooooo well. Only 3 trips down the bunny slope and then he was on to black diamonds! We finished the basement (for those of you who know how long I've been workin on it, this was a major accomplishment) with very little difficulty. We found out at the beginning of February that in October we will have an addition to our family! That's right, I'm about 18 weeks pregnant right now for those of you who were not aware and getting rounder by the moment. We also lost our dear, sweet Lucy Walsh on Sunday, March 1st. She will be missed.
On a happier note, we also recenly found out that Kevin was accepted to the Temple Universiy Accelerated Nursing Program for the Fall of 2009. He will graduate with his second bachelors degree in December of 2010. Very exciting!
And we're back!
So I appologize that our blog has not been updated in forever! To make a long, very long story short, I forgot my user name and password and couldn't access the blog and couldn't get the password because my old email address was hacked into and discontinued.
